Welcome to New Charlton

We have been open since 1976 as a registered charity giving support to our local community. We provide Hall facilities for local groups and we provide office accommodation for charities that work with social issues.
As well as our regular groups of all ages - dance, playgroups, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts and our faith groups - we also host Saturday birthday parties and celebrations.
Our hall is also used for Summer camps, coffee mornings, meetings, concerts, training and filming.
We are based near Maryon Park at 217 Maryon Road SE7 8DB, on the 380 bus route with free on-street parking - we look forward to welcoming you!
May Bank Holiday Closure Dates
The New Charlton Community Centre will be closed:
Monday 1st May - May Day
Monday 8th May - Kings Coronation
Monday 29th May - Spring Bank Holiday
Our Warm Space Project
A reminder that our Warm Space and Social Hub is up and running. Do pop in - we're here for everyone.
We are open from 12.00 to 4.00pm each weekday except Thursdays, with free wi-fi, free tea and coffee, soup, cakes, biscuits and a friendly chat or a quiet corner to yourself. We have games, puzzles and toys for the kiddies and a small library for adults and children.
We are on the 380 bus route (it stops outside) and there is free on-street parking.
We look forward to seeing you!

Please support this important new initiative, opening on December 30th, and help those in need - they, and we, will be very grateful.
Thank you!

Proposed Merger
The Clockhouse and New Charlton Community Centres have been collaborating closely over the last number of years. Clockhouse has been providing the Administration and Finance services for both centres.
Following a vote of members on the 13th March 2023, the merger will now go ahead.
Timing will depend on tying up a few legal details and will be complete on or before the end of June 2023.
